Vanilla Chai Applesauce

Why not spice it up with a hint of India with vanilla chai spice!

5 firm apples (such as honey crisp, gala, or fuji), peeled, cored, and sliced

½ cup apple cider (NOT apple juice)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ tsp of ginger

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp cardamom

¼ tsp coriander

¼ tsp cloves


 Place all ingredients in a large saucepan.

Simmer on medium high heat uncovered for 20 minutes.

Stir, cover, and turn the heat down to low. Cook for 10 more minutes.

Serve warm or refridgerate for 30 minutes and serve cold.
