Savory Drop Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk or alternative                                                                   
  • 1/3 cup wheat flour                                                               
  • 1/2 cup rye flour                                                        
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda                                                   
  • 3 tbsp. cold cooking oil                                                          
  • 1/2 tsp. basil                                                              
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup pastry flour
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp dill
  • 1tbsp minced onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine milk and lemon juice.
  3. Combine all the dry ingredients together and work the cold oil in with a pastry cutter. Add the wet to the dry, stir lightly to form a dough.
  4. Drop by the spoonful onto and oiled and floured cookie sheet,.
  5. bake for 10- 15 min. until brown.
