Festive Gingered Nog

Better than store bought and can be made regular, dairy free and vegan

1 L soymilk or preferred milk alternative                                                               

2 Tbsp. maple syrup

1/2 tsp cinnamon

6 cardamom pods                                           

2 tsp grated ginger

Cinnamon for dusting


Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan. After liquid boils to the top of saucepan turn down heat and gently simmer for another 10 minutes. Let cool briefly, strain into blender and mix, which will produce froth. Serve in festive glasses and top with a light dusting of ground cinnamon.
