DIY Cocoa Coffee Face Mask

Face scrub

This mask is great for all skin types as it can be tweaked depending on if your skin is more oily or more dry.  The coffee helps reduce inflammation and redness and makes for a great exfoliate, while the cocoa is a good source of antioxidants.  Upon washing it off, you are left with soft smooth skin, and the awakening scent of a cup of joe!

4 Tbsp finely ground coffee
4 Tbsp cocoa powder
4 Tbsp non-dairy milk
3 Tbsp coconut oil (melted)
2 Tbsp of honey (dry skin) OR 2 Tbsp of lemon (oily skin) or 1 Tbsp of each

Melt coconut oil and let it cool to room temperature.  Mix together all ingredients to create a paste.  If it’s too thick, add another Tbsp of milk or coconut oil.

Apply to clean skin in circular motions and let it dry (approx. 15 minutes).  Place a hot towel to the face to loosen the mask and then pull the towel down towards your neck to start to wash the mask off.  Continue to do this until the mask is completely washed off.

Store leftover mask in the fridge for up to a week.
