It all began in 2003 with the listing of six Green Beaver products the first year they were brought to the Canadian market. Three toothpastes and three deodorants were the first to hit the Community Natural Foods shelves. CNF believes in supporting and selling Canadian-made products and at that time, there were very few Canadian products on the market. The Green Beaver products sold very well right from the start.

Not only is CNF committed to high quality products and service but to its community as well. Since 2013, CNF has donated over $106,000* to local non-profits, charities, and organizations in Calgary and surrounding areas. Donations are often in the form of gift certificates, food donations or body care items to those in need. In 2016 alone, they provided in-kind donations and/or gift certificates to 112 organizations through their donation program.
